Calling all Philadelphia residents and prospective visitors. Join us for the Southeast Asian Dragon Boat Festival on September 10th, 2011! Don’t miss this rare, wonderful opportunity to enjoy an exciting boat race at picturesque Penns Landing while learning and experiencing the unique customs and survival stories associated with the Southeast Asian Community. Admission is free and open to the general public.
Blessed by the Head Monk of Preah Buddha Rangsey Temple, the Southeast Asign Dragon Boat Festival focuses on understanding the history and appreciating the culture of Southeast Asia while raising support for servicing their community now living here in the Delaware Valley. Your participation will help raise funds and awareness for local Cambodians, Laos, Vietnamese, Thai and other relevant populations in need of accessible, trustworthy, non-profit human service resources here in the Delaware Valley.
